"Please be aware if you are referred to a male elder for spiritual body cleanses (rompemientos). A male elder should have a female priestess perform the rompemiento on his behalf. A male elder should not request to see you undress, make sexually suggestive comments, ask for dates in lieu of payment of readings/ebbo/ceremonies. I had a situation where a male offered to pay for my initiation, which was targeted to be 8k, if I dated him. He then convinced my godparents at the time to set us up and put us in the same room, which made me uncomfortable. It turns out this man is a sexual deviant and they were aware but wanted to keep his favor since he provided them money. If you feel uncomfortable, listen to your intuition.
